A sneak peek of what our tours are all about:
Welcome to “The World in a City”, a guided walking tour of CAMH that introduces visitors to three programs offering cultural-and-population-responsive mental health and addiction care for youth and Indigenous communities:
- Visit Shkaabe Makwa, the first Indigenous-led hospital-based centre in Canada established to improve the health and well-being of First Nations, Inuit and Metis across Ontario by advancing wholistic models of mental health and wellness care that are rooted in traditional healing practices.
- Learn about the Youth Addictions & Concurrent Disorders Service, which supports youth struggling with substance use and mental health concerns through individual care, groups, and day treatment options (TDSB affiliated).
- Visit AMANI, the first-ever Canadian hospital and community partnership focused on advancing care for Black youth through a provincial network with a shared vision of providing programs and services that support and empower youth who identify as African, Caribbean, and/or Black to achieve their wellness goals.
