Concurrent disorders is a term used to refer to co-occurring addiction and mental health problems. It covers a wide array of combinations of problems, such as: anxiety disorder and an alcohol problem, schizophrenia and cannabis dependence, borderline personality disorder and heroin dependence, and bipolar disorder and problem gambling.

About the CAMH Mental Health Sciences Library
Open to CAMH physicians, staff and learners, patients & families and the general public, the CAMH Mental Health Sciences Library has an extensive Mental Health and Addiction book collection. Members of the public can register for a free library card and take out up to 3 books at a time. You can visit our online catalogue here to see our collection.
