Mindfulness for All
Weekly, Tuesday March 31st until May 19th

Adapted from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, this 8 week program will be a chance to learn and practice adapted mindfulness tools in an inclusive and neurodiversity- affirming setting that is open to beginners and experienced meditators alike.

Looking to improve your reading or writing? Join ourWellness Through Words drop-in sessions with Gideon(he/him) from United for Literacy. These small, informalgroup sessions are open to all CAMH inpatients, outpatients,families, friends, and extended community members.
Spring into Bloom workshops with Apanaki Temitayo
Fridays, May 8th May 15th and May 22nd

Spring Into Bloom is a 10-week mixed-media workshop series inspired by the themes of spring—renewal, growth, transformation, and creative possibility. Participants will explore a range of accessible art techniques, including sculpture, collage, painting, textile art, and alternative photographic processes using affordable and recycled materials. Each session introduces a new artistic method while encouraging mindful reflection and playful experimentation. The workshops are designed for all experience levels and emphasize process over perfection, creating a welcoming space where participants can express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others through art.

3D Paper Art Watercolour Workshop with Taryn Lee
Tuesday, May 19th
12 noon to 2 pm | In-person | Registration required.
In this 2 hour art workshop, you’ll learn how to create flowers using a material typically reserved for brewing coffee! You’ll assemble all your flowers into a bouquet youcan take home with you (or gift someone to brighten their day). This is a tactile art workshop that encourages play, exploration and an openness to trusting the process.
Journaling Workshop for Mental Health Service-Users and Caregivers

Journaling can be an important tool for improving emotional and psychological well being. Journaling allows us the freedom to explore and express our feelings without judgement. This is important for service-users and caregivers, who often face guilt and other complicated feelings throughout our journey. This workshop will provide a creative space to explore the many ways we can use journaling for better clarity and well being.
For Families: Navigating Care Decisions andUnderstanding Your Rights

Join us for a family focused session with the Psychiatric Patient Advocate Office. This session will help you understand how you can navigate decisions made about your loved one’s care, their rights as a psychiatric patient, and your position as family, friend, or caregiver advocate.
Which drugs are most dangerous? Understanding substance use harms in Canada

A group of experts from across Canada – including researchers, clinicians, and experts by lived experience –recently released the results of a study that scored 16 commonly used drugs on 16 different kinds of harm. The project produced in which alcohol scored as the drug causing the most harm, followed by tobacco and non-prescription opioids like fentanyl.
In this webinar, we will break down what “harm” means in the context of substance use, how the study was conducted, and what its findings mean for governments and for public conversations about substance use. We’ll also discuss what these findings mean for patients and families navigating substance use concerns.
Family Caregiver Appreciation Month: Help Us Write a Song!

This May, Gifts of Light is recognizing Family Caregiver Appreciation Month by inviting family members and caregivers to take part in a collaborative songwriting session led by an accomplished Canadian musician. Together, participants will help co-create a song that offers insight intothe caregiver experience, capturing individual stories, shared emotions, and the meaningful role caregivers play in supporting their loved ones.
Employment Series: Ask Me Anything with Jocelyn Tan

This session welcomes CAMH Research Analyst Jocelyn Tan. Jocelyn will talk about her interesting path in CAMH Research, and her other roles in the mental health and addiction space. With a focus on pursuing employment goals in 2026, John Fernandes and Jocelyn invite participants to bring their questions for an open, engaging 90-minute conversation grounded in lived experience, learning, and possibility. Hosted in collaboration with the Collaborative Learning College and Employment Works!
